Speaker Series: Art in Public Places

It is safe to say we are mostly in agreement (as humans) that art is of great value. We know this somehow, at an intrinsic level. But how does art displayed in view of the general public manage to invoke a better sense of community, increase and promote tourism and positively impact the economic state of a city?

This is exactly what we'll be discussing as a community this month. As summer draws near, we can also hear about some opportunities that are in the works for public art in different communities across the Capital Region.

Join us to hear from artists, organizations and those passionate about arts and culture in the Capital region at this month's Speaker Series event on Thursday, Mar. 28, at The Creole Gallery in Old Town.

Speakers include:The Creole Galley is located at 1218 Turner St. and parking can be found along the side streets.

Doors open at 6 p.m. The speakers will present from 6:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. with Q & A and networking to follow.
