Editor's Pick: Renegade Theatre Festival

Renegade is described as "an opportunity to explore theatre." It offers Lansing area residents an opportunity to see a wide variety of shows in traditional and non-traditional spaces. But, it also enables theatres and theatre artists to "experiment, test out new works and produce things that might not be ready or appropriate for their regular season."

Performances are at 7 and 9 p.m., Thursday Aug. 18, Friday Aug. 19 and Saturday Aug. 20, with music at 6 and 8 p.m. each evening at the Turner Mini-Park. On Saturday afternoon, Renegade Kids will feature family-friendly shows at 1, 2 and 3 p.m., along with music and Potter Park Zoo story-telling activities.
