Foresight Group continues growth with Ann Arbor company merger

The local printing company, The Foresight Group wasn’t finished with its company’s growth after completing a 30,000-square foot building renovation last year. The company has recently announced it’s merger with the Ann Arbor-based Huron Valley Printing and Imaging.

“We’ve merged the entities together as Foresight Group,” says Foresight President Bill Christofferson. “We have pulled the production out of Ann Arbor and into Lansing. It gives us more volume for our operation, which makes us more efficient.”

Sales and pre-production work will continue in the Ann Arbor facility. Two production employees have been moved to Lansing. The merger expands Foresight’s staff from approximately 35 to approximately 44.

“We have more services to offer in the Ann Arbor market now,” says Christofferson. “Certainly, the Ann Arbor company did some things better than us and we did something better than them, so we’re pulling everything together. It’s a solid group do people and we’re happy to be with them.“

Christofferson expects the combined advantages of both companies to lead to growth. Over the next year, he hopes to see 20 to 50 percent growth in the Ann Arbor market and 5 to 10 percent growth for Foresight Group overall.
