Don't let the PO Box fool you. Schoolpictures.com is growing and leaps and bounds. You need proof? Their growth has been so explosive that they're moving out of their home in Pittsfield Township and into the former campus for Ave Maria University campus. Work begins in earnest in August.
The web-based company started with just seven employees three years ago and has since grown to 41. Those numbers are only expected to increase, thus the move into 21,000 square feet of space.
"Our business has more than doubled in the last three years," Cerier says. "It looks to double again in the next three years. We're going to experience unprecedented growth in the next five years. We simply ran out of space."
Schoolpictures arranges for school pictures by partnering with learning instuitutions so that they too can raise money through the school photographs. It promises quality, efficiency, convenience and simplicity.
The company considered locations in 18 states and settled on Ypsilanti to put it in proximity to Eastern Michigan University, where it intends to work closely with the school and create up to 75 internships within five years.
