Growth Companies

Founded in 1998, Ann Arbor-based LLamasoft develops cutting edge optimization and simulation techniques that help companies strategize supply chain deliveries and stock inventory.

The company's unique ability to create software that offers both optimization plus complex simulation in one package, sets it apart from competitors and has lead to phenomenal growth, doubling with each of its last three anniversaries.

In 2002 LLamasoft began marketing their supply chain network software and landed Unilever one of its first big clients after the corporate giant discovered them on the web. Since then it has gone on to win clients across a wide range of industries, including: Dell, Unilever, General Mills, ConocoPhillips, Frito-Lay, Arcelor-Mittal (the world’s largest steel company), Johnson & Johnson, and US Departmen t of Defense.

Supply Chain GuruTM, LLamasoft's signature software, allows clients to evaluate important and potentially risky strategic changes to their supply chain network through optimization and simulation modeling. This can include everything from sourcing and manufacturing to inventory and transportation.

This 17 employee company continues to grow at a rapid pace, having  and expects to add 3-5 primarily technical employees before the end of the year.
