Tech employers to recruit for top jobs

National and local firms are scheduled to exhibit during the 6th Annual Career Expo hosted by Michigan Institute of Aviation and Technology (MIAT) on May 12, 2011. Aviation, energy, automotive, technical and transportation employers attend each year to network with high quality candidates and fill positions for their organizations.

The event is open to the general public and more than 5000 U.S. Armed Forces Veterans receive invitations to attend. Limited booth space is currently available for employers and other community organizations.

According to Chuck Hawes, MIAT President, the event is an opportunity to match the right candidates to the right employers.

"Right now, certain industries are experiencing rapid fluctuations in staffing requirements. This career expo is an efficient way for employers to meet and interview well qualified candidates for certain positions," said Hawes.

The exhibit will open from 12:00 noon to 5:00 pm at the MIAT main campus, 2955 S. Haggerty Road in Canton. The campus is 15 minutes from Detroit Metro Airport off I-275 exit 22, just north of Michigan Ave. For more information about exhibiting or attending, contact Sharon at spokerwinski@miat.edu, or call (734) 423-2108.
