Do-Care center opens doors to new Bay City location

A center that was developed for the purpose of helping families in need has relocated to Bay City.

The Do-Care Family Enrichment Center recently held a ribbon-cutting ceremony at its new Bay City offices as well as an open house. The new location, at 711 Ninth Street, is inside the Good Samaritan Rescue Mission.

"With our offices now located inside of the Good Samaritan Rescue Mission, our new location puts us in the area of Bay County that has been hardest hit," says Kristal Corrion, Do-Care manager. "This opens the door to a great relationship between two dynamic, innovative organizations that are designed to help people."

The Do-Care Family Enrichment Center was developed to help provide services to Bay County residents who are facing financial hardships. The center was opened in 2006 and since that time many families have been the recipient of assistance through the different programs offered by Do-Care. Each program is designed to help people achieve self-sufficiency and escape the financial burden that has held them back.

Residents seeking assistance meet with trained volunteers for a comprehensive interview and assessment of their current situation.
