MidMichigan Health opens doors for urgent care in Freeland

If you're in Freeland and you find yourself in need of some urgent care, then you're in luck thanks to MidMichigan Health Park, on Midland Road.

The location recently opened the doors to MidMichigan Urgent Care, which provides walk-in medical care with no appointment needed. This care is good for people with sudden illness or minor emergencies, such as the flu, sore throat, cuts and scrapes, sprains, strains and even possible broke bones, as well as burns, rashes and bites. They also will provide physical examinations for school, work and extra curricular activities.

The facility is staffed by physicians, has a lab on-site and has x-ray capabilities. In addition, the facility will accept most insurance plans.

Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturday through Sunday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

In addition to urgent care at the Freeland location, the facility is also offering occupational health services. Services include: pre-and post-employment physicals including Department of Transportation (DOT) exams, Hazmat exams, drug and alcohol tests meeting DOT, NIDA and other regulatory protocols; treatment of work-related injuries, pulmonary function and respirator fit testing, flu, tetanus and Hepatitis B vaccinations, and workplace wellness programs.

Those businesses interested in arranging occupational health services for their employees should visit this site.
