The Uptown development project in Bay City is getting itself connected to the city's Riverwalk with the latest in construction underway.
Excerpt: Work is set to begin in earnest to construct a new section of Riverwalk, as well as a plaza and day dock area, at the Uptown Bay City construction site.
The Bay City Commission on Monday, May 5, voted 8-1 to award a $2.4 million contract to Buena Vista-based Rohde Bros. Excavating Inc. for the project, which also includes various sidewalks, landscaping and electrical work along the east shoreline of the Saginaw River.
