In five short years, the law firm Warner Norcross + Judd has expanded its Midland presence from two attorneys to more than 20. Now the Michigan-based corporate law firm is announcing that it is expanding its Great Lakes Bay region footprint with a 15 percent increase in office space in Downtown Midland.
"We are well ahead of our growth plans for the Midland office and found ourselves needing more space much sooner than we thought," says Jonathan E. Lauderbach, executive partner.
"This addition will meet our short-term needs for new office and meeting space but anticipate we will need to expand further in the years ahead."
Warner Norcross + Judd has offices in the East End development in Downtown Midland. Home to a number of community stakeholders, including Dow Chemical, Dow Health Clinic, Chemical Bank and more, East End also counts restaurants State Street Deli and Maru Sushi & Grill among its tenants.
Now Warner Norcross + Judd will occupy even more space in the building, adding four new offices and two conference rooms to accommodate their Midland workforce. Warner Norcross + Judd was one of the first tenants signed to the East End.
The law firm expects construction to wrap up by Thanksgiving and has set a tentative move-in date of Dec. 1.
"Warner has invested in the success of this office, which our clients in the Great Lakes Bay Region appreciate," Lauderbach says.
"It’s gratifying that we have been so warmly embraced by the business community."
Warner Norcross + Judd came to Midland in 2013, establishing its seventh office in the state. Now with eight, the law firm has offices in Grand Rapids, Southfield, Midland, Macomb County, Muskegon, Kalamazoo, Holland, and Lansing.
