Second Hand Picasso sale begins November 30 at Creative 360

The Creative 360 Stage, Studio and Gallery of Midland is gearing up for their 8th annual Second Hand Picasso sale. The nonprofit art gallery, now in it's 22nd year of operation, uses this event to raise operating funds for their facility.

From November 30 through December 20, visitors can expect to find gently used art, antiques, and collectibles at bargain prices. The sale takes over the studio's main exhibit space, transforming it into an art bazaar for a few short weeks around the holidays.

"Second Hand Picasso was the brilliant idea of our board of directors," says Carol Rumba, Creative 360 executive director. "We take in hundreds of donations from individuals and businesses, and see upwards of 500 shoppers each year. It's one of our main fundraisers."

The sale is strategically timed during the holiday shopping season. Rumba says it's a great opportunity to find one-of-a-kind gifts for friends and loved ones.

"Second Hand Picasso features paintings, jewelry, sculptures, photography, numbered and signed prints, and mixed media," says Rumba. "Every piece has been donated by local artists or collectors who support Creative 360's mission."

Donations to the effort are accepted year-round. Gently used art, collectibles or antiques can be delivered to Creative 360, located just north of downtown Midland at 1517 Bayliss Street. More information can be found at the Creative 360 website.
