Elk Rapids patients don't have to go as far for medical laboratory work when seeing doctors at Munson Medical Center anymore.
The
Munson Healthcare system announced the opening of a new lab in Elk Rapids, in the office of Dr. Steven Pray, a primary care physician associated with Munson.
The lab will be part of Munson Healthcare Laboratory Services and located at Elk Rapids Primary Care, at 115 Bridge Street.
"Our goal is to provide our services in a way that allows residents to stay as close to home as possible," says Terry Whalen, director of Munson Laboratory Services.
Lab hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 1:30 to 5 p.m. Among the services it offers are drawing blood samples, and a drop-off point for physician-ordered lab samples.
