Passenger rail line to Traverse City studied

Excerpt: Michigan could have passenger train service between Ann Arbor and Traverse City by 2025. The Michigan Land Use Institute is hosting community meetings to gather feedback about building a rail line between Ann Arbor and Traverse City, before beginning a feasibility study next year. Transportation Policy Specialist Jim Bruckbauer says the institute will work with the Michigan Department of Transportation to examine the potential of using state-owned tracks running between the two cities.
