The building is a one-of-a-kind $5 million, 10,000 square foot, Y-shaped, steel-frame, single-story pavilion. The design was intended to embody the college’s commitment to be a catalyst for positive social change and will serve as the hearth for social justice globally.

The building was constructed using cordwood masonry — which combines logs laid widthwise, instead of bricks, with mortar to build a wall, a nontraditional construction processes. The building's designed to  reflect the work of economic, social and environmental justice done there and the builders are seeking LEED Gold certification for it.

"We are thrilled to be recognized for the construction of this new building, uniquely devoted to the advancement of leadership in social justice and human rights,” says Rex Bell, Miller-Davis Co. President.
