It took 38 years before Bob Humbert took off in his home built airplane, reports the Battle Creek Enquirer. Now the plane will never touch down again. It is on display, suspended from the ceiling of the Kalamazoo Air Zoo. Humbert donated the single-engine Pietenpol Air Camper to the aeronautical museum.
