MLive: Paw Paw native a Tony award winner

When they handed out the Tony awards this year Paw Paw had a moment to be proud of. Jerry Mitchell, a Paw Paw native, choreographed “Kinky Boots,” a musical scored by Cyndi Lauper about a drag queen who saves a faltering music store. The production took six awards including best choreography. MLive reports Mitchell mentioned his hometown in his acceptance speech.
