Volunteers from Kalamazoo in Bloom are making sure flowers blanket high profile spots in Portage and Kalamazoo, reports the Kalamazoo Gazette. Each year the volunteers plant tens of thousands of flowers that show off the area’s rich bedding plant industry heritage. With help from a gardener, volunteers adopt flowerbeds and commit to weed and water them.
