Previously located in Marysville, A Little Hobby Ceramics Studio has reopened with a new home at Birchwood Mall offering more opportunities to learn and explore ceramic artmaking.

In Port Huron, Blue Water Allies is working to create a safe, supportive, and empowering home for the LGBTQIA+ community by connecting residents with support groups, social groups, programming, and mental and physical health resources.

Homelessness, rough sleeping, not having a roof over one’s head – winter compounds the misery of those who lack a warm and secure place to sleep. With support from the community, the dedicated team at Blue Water Area Rescue Mission is working to tackle this issue for homeless men across the region.

Over the past several years, Michigan's community mental health agencies have been stepping up with a number of initiatives to help fill the gap in mental health services for youth.

The Village of Lexington is celebrating the season with its third annual Winterfest on Feb. 3-4. The community-wide event plans for fun activities for all ages including a Polar Plunge, chili cook-off, ice sculptures, frozen bowling, a fish toss, a winter fashion show, and more.

In November 2023,  NAMI Blue Water Area Michigan in St. Clair County joined the 600 other local NAMI affiliates across the country.
