Alicia’s Authentic Mexican Deli, a popular Mexican deli, is celebrating its first year in Delta Township.
“We’ve done really well,” says Alicia Gonzales, owner of Alicia’s Authentic Mexican 
Deli. “We have a good community base and clientele. The Delta/Waverly neighborhood has been really supportive.”
Alicia’s Authentic Mexican Deli is known for its wet burritos, tacos and menudo, although Gonzales’ customers also love her fresh salsa.
Gonzales opened the 2,000 square foot shop in January 2008. Before opening, she renovated the one time Blimpie’s restaurant.
“We have a large clientele from GM to Meijer,” she says. “There are so many businesses around and that really helps, too. I’m looking forward to another great year.”
In that year, Gonzales added four people to what is now a six-person, full- and part-time staff. Alicia’s Authentic Mexican Deli is located at 6424 W. St. Joseph Hwy.
