Leaders from East Lansing, Lansing and Lansing Township are banding together to redevelop the busy thoroughfare. Leaders have turned to the community to turn Michigan Avenue around. From East Lansing to the Capitol, it's a street that bears our state name. Business owners, like Kevin Witgen of Discount Signs and Ruth Leyrer of Bancroft Flowers, couldn't wait to voice their ideas to spruce up the street.

Committee leaders plan to hold another workshop for the public on Tuesday, August 26th at the MSU center for community and economic development from 3 to 5p.m.
