409 Center Street building opens in downtown Royal Oak

The doors are open and the storefront is ready for customers at 409 Center Street in downtown Royal Oak.

The new three-story building addition adjacent to the railroad tracks will house a Douglas J Aveda Institute branch in 15,000 square feet of the ground floor space. The project is adding about 12,000 square feet to an existing structure, building on a vacant lot.

The rest of the 14,000 square feet of space in the building is still up for lease to retail or office occupants that would complement the beauty salon. The developer is negotiating with other interested parties looking at it for either retail or office space.
