Center Street Lofts in downtown Royal Oak nearly full

More and more people are moving into downtown Royal Oak. What's the  evidence? The Center Street Lofts development is nearly full.

Only four of the development’s 19 lofts remain. The units can be had for sale or for lease with prices ranging from $2,000 to $3,000 a month on leases and $300,000 to $500,000 on sales.

Center Street Lofts is the second of a two-building project between Center and Main streets, on the other side of 11 Mile Road, across from Memphis Smoke. The nearby Main Street Lofts project at the corner of 11 Mile and Main sold out two years ago.

The five-story Center Street Lofts building now bookends the block, helping create a streetwall on 11 Mile. The lofts range in size from 1,000 and 2,700 square feet and come with 17 different floor plans. There is no ground-floor retail space in the building. Instead, each unit has its own parking spot and storage space incorporated into the first floor.

The group of developers behind the Center Street Lofts project also built the Troy Street Lofts and Main Street Lofts, both sold out, in downtown Royal Oak. They are also building the Lofts on the 9 development in downtown Ferndale.
