Katherine Mahan has been appointed Regulatory and Legal Manager at
United Federal Credit Union
(UFCU) in St. Joseph.
Mahan will provide leadership to the Compliance, Regulatory, and Legal Team in the areas of regulatory compliance and legal review.
Her responsibilities will include assessing legal, compliance and regulatory risk; managing disputes and litigation, and managing relationships with outside legal counsel.
She previously was Regulatory and Compliance Specialist with UFCU, where she ensured full compliance with banking laws, regulations, and internal policies and procedures.
A native of Grand Haven. Mahan earned her Bachelor of Arts degrees in Financial Management and German from Hillsdale College in Hillsdale, and a Juris Doctor degree from the Dickinson School of Law at Pennsylvania State University.
While attending the Dickinson School of Law, Mahan earned the Student Advocacy Award from the International Academy of Trial Lawyers. She also participated in the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot, one of the world’s most prestigious international moot court competitions, held annually in Vienna, Austria.
She lives in Jackson.
