B.C. Enquirer: Cooperation leads to new route for trail

Two groups previously at odds over a trail project at the Ott Biological Preserve are working to iron out a new route for the project, reports the Battle Creek Enquirer. A fresh plan proposed by the group Friends of the Ott calls for a crushed limestone path going along the eastern and northern edges of the 300-acre preserve in Emmett Township. Another route, agreed to last year by the Calhoun County Trailway Alliance and Friends of the Ott, fell through after two property owners wouldn’t allow the trail on their land.
