Cooley Law School Graduate Opens New Immigration Law Practice in Okemos

Cooley Law School graduate Kimberly Cambron recently opened an immigration law office in Okemos.

“There doesn’t seem to be many firms specializing in this area in the Lansing area,” Cambron says. “Most of them are in Detroit. This is a growing field, especially with all of the changes in the law. It’s a good field and I’m nervous, but very excited.”

Cambron operates Cambron Law Offices out of her 4125 Okemos Rd. office. Cambron became interested in immigration law after watching her husband, a French national, go through the immigration process.

Cambron says there’s untapped growth potential in terms of immigration law.

“Since immigration is a federal law and isn’t really tied to Michigan, I am able to expand outside of the state,” she says.

Cambron is from Knoxville, Tenn. She followed her husband, who is a professor at Michigan State University (MSU), to Michigan. She’s been in Michigan for six years.
