Studio 215 in Williamston Provides Studio, Gallery and Art Class Space

Studio 215 is a new art space/gallery in downtown Williamston. It's located upstairs in Keller’s Plaza at 107 S. Putnam—in suite 215, of course.

Although there is only about 117 square feet of space at Studio 215, owner Anita Saviko utilizes it as her own working art studio, teaches watercolor and acrylics Monday through Friday and turns it into a “petite fine art gallery” on the first Friday night of every month.

She loves her space. “The studio is a lovely garret-type room with a large floor-to-ceiling, southeast-facing window that overlooks a back alley garden complete with a waving American flag,” says Saviko.

She is not the only artist above Keller’s. “There is the beginnings of an artist community," she say, "with six other working artist’s studios in the upper floor of Keller's Plaza."

"But I am currently the only one with public hours,” she adds.

The exhibits at Studio 215 rotate every 60 days. The current exhibit, “Dancing with the Darks” features Saviko’s paintings in glowing dark transparent watercolors.
