Naturopathic and holistic health practice to open north of downtown this October

Kelly CullenFresh from graduating with a certification as a naturopathic practitioner, Kelly Cullen is opening a full-time practice on the north edge of downtown Mt. Pleasant.

Kelly Cullen opens the doors to her naturopathic and holistic health practice on Tuesday, Oct. 2. A grand opening and ribbon cutting celebration is scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 8.

Cullen offers a number of health and wellness services. In addition to being certified as a naturopathic practitioner, Cullen is a certified holistic health practitioner. She is also a weight loss specialist, nutritional consultant, and health coach.

One specialty is her practice of the Reams Biological Theory of Ionization, or RBTI. Cullen checks clients’ body chemistry and offers advice on how to bring their PH, sugar, and salt levels back in balance.

She’s quick to say that she doesn’t diagnose medical issues and doesn’t tell clients to go against their doctor’s wishes. What she does do is search for the roots of people’s problems and address them before they become even bigger issues.

Her goal is to provide clients with natural remedies.

"I really see a big need for something like this here. So many people want to get away from the traditional practice of covering up symptoms with prescriptions and over-the-counter pills," Cullen says.

"So many people are looking for more natural ways to bring healing to their bodies."

Cullen has been offering some services on a part-time basis from her Mt. Pleasant home for the past three years. Once she received her naturopathic certification, Cullen decided to expand her business and take it on full-time. She has rented a room in the Whitford Chiropractic Clinic.

Kelly Cullen’s naturopathic and holistic health practice is located at 625 N. Main St. in Mt. Pleasant.
