Great Lakes Bay Pride celebrates Pride Month with events across the region
June marks Pride Month, a time to honor and uplift the LGBTQ+ community through celebration, visibility, and advocacy. In the Great Lakes Bay Region, Great Lakes Bay Pride and community partners are hosting a wide range of events throughout the month, highlighting joy, inclusion, and support. From festivals and drag shows to dance parties and baseball games, here’s what’s happening:

Onnie StoneMount Pleasant Pride Festival

Great Lakes Bay Pride and the Two Spirit Indigiqueer Coalition present the Mount Pleasant Pride Festival—an expanded version of the “Pop Up Pride in the Park” series that celebrated its third year in 2024. The festival will feature food trucks, a Two-Spirit presentation, local vendors, and community resources.
 
  • Date: Saturday, June 7, 2025
  • Time: 2 to 5 p.m.
  • Location: Broadway Park, 2451 Nish Na Be Anong Rd., Mount Pleasant.
  • Details: Free and open to the public.

Mount Pleasant Drag Show After Party

Wrap up the Mount Pleasant Pride Festival with a vibrant night of performances at the Drag Show After Party, featuring drag artists from across Michigan.
 
  • Date: Saturday, June 7, 2025
  • Time: 7 to 10 p.m.
  • Location: Soaring Eagle Casino and Resort, Black River Ballroom, 6800 Soaring Eagle Blvd., Mount Pleasant.
  • Details: Tickets are available online.

Great Lakes Bay PrideGreat Lakes Loons Pride Night

Baseball and Pride unite as the Great Lakes Loons, Great Lakes Bay Pride, and Minor League Baseball team up to create a welcoming and inclusive night at the ballpark. 
 
  • Date: Thursday, June 12
  • Time: 7:05 p.m.
  • Location: Dow Diamond, 825 E. Main St., Midland.
  • Details: Ticket options include Reserved Box seating (Section 102) and Northern Lights Pavilion (includes dinner and soft drinks). Each ticket includes a $5 donation to Great Lakes Bay Pride.

Pride Month Tea Dance

Bay City will host a “pool party without the pool” as Great Lakes Bay Pride and Drydock Beer Garden present a high-energy Tea Dance with DJ Club Kid.
 
  • Date: Sunday, June 15
  • Time: 2 to 6 p.m.
  • Location: Drydock Beer Garden, 113 Center Ave, Bay City.
  • Details: Individuals aged 18 and older are welcome. Those aged 21 and up will receive wristbands for the cash bar.

POUND for Pride

Join Great Lakes Bay Pride and Young Fitness for a donation-based, high-energy POUND class where participants can let loose while supporting Pride Month. All proceeds benefit Great Lakes Bay Pride.
 
  • Date: Monday, June 16
  • Time: 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
  • Location: Creative 360, 5501 Jefferson Ave., Midland.
  • Details: Bring a yoga mat and water bottle. All participants must sign a waiver; minors require a parent or guardian’s signature. Wear pride gear and comfortable shoes. Space is limited. RSVP online.

Onnie StoneGreat Lakes Bay Pride Festival

The region’s flagship Pride celebration moves to Saginaw this year. Organizers say the new location will allow for more safety and security for our visitors to enjoy the day. Enjoy a variety of vendors, community resource partners, live entertainment, a health screening area, and a children’s activity zone.
 
  • Date: Saturday, June 28
  • Time: 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Location: Jolt Credit Union Event Park, 300 Johnson St., Saginaw.
  • Details: Free and open to the public.

Pride Festival Drag Show After Party

Close out Pride Festival day with one of the region’s largest drag shows, featuring a lineup of Kings and Queens from across Michigan.
 
  • Date: Saturday, June 28
  • Doors Open: 7 p.m. (DJ begins)
  • Showtime: 9 p.m.
  • Location: Dow Event Center – Red Room, 303 Johnson St., Saginaw.
  • Details: Tickets are $15 online through 7 p.m. on the day of the event and $20 at the door. Cash and cards accepted.
