Blog: Diane Geiger TenHoopen

Diane Geiger has traveled the world but has made Detroit her home base; for better or worse, in good times and in bad.

Her early years were spent being shuttled into the city (and the surrounding areas) on countless cultural adventures.  As teachers with the Detroit Public Schools, her parents (Frank and Loretta - a chef and musician by trade) took the family on summer-long excursions to explore other parts of our country and the world; most of which also included her little brother (former financial analyst, longtime Detroit DJ, culinary instructor, and presently Eastern Market Corporation event developer Michael Geiger).

Diane studied film production and music at Wayne State University (Detroit) and the Australian Film, TV and Radio School (Sydney). She’s worked for
The Smithsonian Institution, Primedia Inc. as well as Detroit-based companies such The Collective, ASG Renaissance and BrainGain Marketing. These days, she occasionally masquerades (by day) as a web project manager/producer.

An avid blogger, Diane has made it her first and foremost life’s mission to redefine and stretch our (often-limited) conceptions of family, relationships, lifestyle and workstyle.

Diane wants you to consider your relationship with the metro Detroit area. And invites you to kindle/rekindle a more romantic approach.
