Macomb-OU INCubator expands offerings to its community of startups

The Macomb-OU INCubator is expanding its offerings to the startups that utilize its space and services. The most recent addition is Accutrak Consulting & Accounting Services to its Executives-in-Residence program.

Accutrak Consulting & Accounting Services will be located in Mac-OU INCubator's space, providing complimentary consultation to the accelerator's client companies. Its Executives-in-Residence program program allows commercialization clients to consult with expert professionals for 16 total hours of complimentary services each month.

"Our entrepreneurs don't really have the funds to pay for these sorts of services," says Joan Carleton, marketing & community manager for the Macomb OU-INCubator. "It's a great service to offer them."

The Macomb-OU INCubator has two other in-house professional service offerings: an attorney from Butzel Long and Jim Ruma, an expert in working in the defense industry. The economic accelerator is looking at adding a marketing agency later this year.

"It's a great community because they (the entrepreneurs) are all here together," Carleton says. "They can bounce ideas off of each other."
