Dow's obesity programs profiled on NPR

Employee health has a direct effect on employers' health insurance claims, so it seems intuitive that employers would want to help employees get healthy. Of course, we all know that's not always the case, but it certainly is at Dow Chemical, which was profiled by NPR for its wellness programs.

Excerpt: As companies feel the financial burden of the obesity epidemic, some are trying to help their bottom line by helping employees with their waistline. One of the largest such efforts is at the Dow Chemical Company, which has operations in Michigan, Texas, Louisiana and West Virginia -- all states with some of the highest obesity rates in the nation.
