LaMarr Woodley gives $60k to Saginaw schools

Pay-to-play sports are certainly on the rise in many Michigan schools, which can often exclude poorer kids from playing. Hopefully, that won't be the case in Saginaw after a recent gift from Steelers player LaMarr Woodley.

Excerpt: Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker LaMarr Woodley believes in giving back and he's doing just that through his charitable foundation.

Multiple sources reported this week that he has donated $60,000 to the money-strapped Saginaw, Mich., school district to help offset the new charge of $75 for each underprivileged middle, junior and high school student to compete in sports in 2012-13.
