New community of entrepeneurs aims to connect every business in St. Clair County

The co-working members at Loft 912 in Port Huron are banding together to create a broader community of entrepreneurs, called Blue Water Startups. The group, "for entrepreneurs, by entrepreneurs," will work to educate, inspire and connect with one another throughout the Blue Water Area.

Planned for launch in September, Blue Water Startups' first initiative will be to connect all new businesses registered within St. Clair County over the past 12 months.

"Initially, we just want to be sure they have access to resources and to let them know other local entrepreneurs are cheering them on," says Matt Brooks, owner of several growing businesses headquartered in Port Huron. Brooks is the founder of the Loft 912, where the Blue Water Startups concept was born.
