Sault Ste. Marie will be home to a
Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant by this time next year, according to a recent announcement from
Diversified Restaurant Holdings, Inc., a Buffalo Wild Wings franchisee.
Diversified also owns the Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant in Marquette and several others in Michigan. It also owns, operates and franchises another restaurant chain, Bagger Dave's. The Sault restaurant will be its 35th Buffalo Wild Wings location.
The company's president and CEO, T. Michael Ansley, says the new location is scheduled to open in mid-2013 at the newly renovated Cascade Crossing Shopping Center.
"We believe the Cascade Crossing location is an ideal location for us as it epitomizes everything we look for when determining a location, namely, high traffic areas," he says.
Some of the selling points of the Sault were that it is the second most-populated city in the area, and draws people from around the world to view the Soo Locks and the I-500 snowmobile races.
In all, Diversified Restaurant Holdings says it plans to make its number of Buffalo Wild Wings locations 47 by 2017, in its main areas of Michigan and Florida, so keep your eyes open for even more new restaurants to come.
