What's happening: The annual Making it in Michigan Conference and Trade Show is scheduled for Wednesday, May 7, at the Lansing Center, 333 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing. Considered the premier food networking conference in the state, perhaps the Midwest, the event draws more than 300 attendees and about 170 exhibitors showcasing their latest products.
About the conference: This half-day conference features a keynote, panels and two short educational speakers that will concentrate on different business strategies. This year’s panels will highlight Specialty Food, Distribution, Retail, and Building to Stage Two. These topics will ignite your entrepreneurial business and take it to the next level of success.
About the trade show: The Trade Show is in partnership with the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (MDARD) and serves an opportunity for food entrepreneurs to
attract retail buyers for wholesale accounts. The Trade Show will feature vendors focused on quality Michigan-made food, beverage, and agricultural products. The Trade Show is open free of charge for the public.
