Michigan Farmers Union holds annual convention

What's happening: The Michigan Farmers Union will meet on Friday, December 1 in St. Johns for its annual convention and member meeting. The convention will be held at the Agro Liquid Facility, 3055 W. M-21, St. Johns.

About the conference: Create member-driven policy, elect leadership, learn about and discuss current agricultural issues. Featuring federal and state policy updates, remarks from key stakeholders in agriculture, and a special presentation from “The Incredible Dr. Pol,” participants will learn about the pressing issues facing Michigan’s independent farmers and what’s needed to support them moving forward amid the ongoing farm bill deliberations in Washington, D.C.

Who is attending: Dr. Jan Pol, television star and author, “The Incredible Dr. Pol”; U.S. Sen. Debbie Stabenow; U.S. Rep. Elissa Slotkin; state Rep. Reggie Miller; and Mike Stranz, vice president of the National Farmers Union.
