See Bay City through the eyes of a visiting artist

Doug Coombe visited Bay City recently to capture images for Route Bay City.

In the coming months, you'll see his work illustrating stories about our community. In this week's Route, we're giving you a glimpse of some of what he saw when he spent a day here.

Coombe, whose home base is in Ann Arbor and Detroit, shoots for the music industry as well as publications. He's the photographer for Concentrate Media and the Urban Innovation Exchange Detroit.

He's also worked for Rolling Stone, Spin, NME, Mojo, Wax Poetics, The Wire, Sub Pop Records, Ghostly Records, and Michigan Radio.

To see more of his work, watch Route Bay City or visit his website.
