The
Lansing Derby Vixens will be taking on the
Floral City Roller Girls from Monroe in their first women's flat-track roller derby home bout on Feb. 12 at the
Lansing Center in Downtown Lansing!
The event is dubbed The St. Valentine’s Day Massacre, but don’t let the name fool you. It's a family-friendly affair, and children under the age of 10 get in free.
Aside from cheering on our Vixens, derby fans (myself included) will be entertained throughout the event.
Local band Shelby Twist & the Fetal Fairies, featuring Starfarm singer Whitney Spotts, is providing music before the bout and at half time.
Local DJ RachaelP (derby name “Dita Von Beats”) will provide music during warm-ups and during the game. There will also be giveaways, including Vixens merchandise.
Doors open at 6 p.m. and the derby starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are
$12 in advance or $15 at the door.
