It’s cold. But thanks to events like the
second annual Frost Fest, there’s no reason for Lansingites to mope about at home, twiddling their fingers while anticipating the end of snowmageddon and the arrival of spring. On Saturday, Feb. 19,
Downtown Lansing Inc. embraces winter on the 200 block of S. Washington.
If you’re a die-hard Euchre player, there’s a “Cold Butt” Euchre Tournament; beer lovers can get a taste of the “Plaid Penguin,” a Frost Fest Microbrew exclusive … and music lovers can enjoy performances by Joe Hertler and the Rainbow Seekers,
Elliot Street Lunatic and the headliners,
Atomic Tom.
Did I mention you can play ice checkers and chess? Nuff said.
Chilly Frost Fest-ivities will be enjoyed in a heated tent from 6 p.m. onward, with an after party at the
Tin Can. Tickets are
$12 in advance, $15 at the door. Sadly, you have to be over the age of 21 to take part in this frigid event.
