Editor's Pick: Festival of Listening

Just Listen. That’s all they want you to do this Friday Mar. 25, at 7 p.m., at the third annual Festival of Listening being held at SCENE Metrospace in East Lansing. Members of the MSU Residential College in the Arts and Humanities (RCAH) Center for Poetry want people to come and enjoy poems being read by them in a variety of languages without translation.

Some participants will be reading in their language of origin, while others will read in a language they have come to love. You can expect to hear Hausa, Japanese, Albanian, Swahili, Old English and Hebrew,, among others.

There will also be a sampling of international cuisine and a musical performance by Arabic Fusion. This event is free and open to the public.
