Capital Gains Speaker Series: Pinning Lansing and Michigan on the Virtual Map

Join us on Feb. 24, at 6:15 p.m. (5:30 p.m. sign in) at the Creole Gallery in Old Town to hear how Andrea Kerbuski and Steve Jencks garner 50,000 - 200,000 readers a month by blogging about their passions: fashion and B-movies.

We are also very excited to have Becks Davis of Detroit Moxie joining us as our guest panelist!

Meet Andrea!

Andrea Kerbuski is one busy woman. A self-described blogger, PR pro, photographer and writer from mid-Michigan, she’s also a Lansing Derby Vixen who stays connected in her community. This small-town girl now living in Lansing has a keen eye for fashion, which shows on her blog, Blonde Bedhead. Kerbuski has been featured in Capital Gains as a guest blogger from time to time and has also been featured on MTV Style and Glamour among other online publications.

Meet Steve!

Steve Jencks has had a long-lasting love affair with b-movies. He is the creator and founder of the successful blog, Lost Highway – A Detour Through B-Movies and Cult Films. Since 2006, he's been reviewing horror, science-fiction, grindhouse and cult films from the ‘60s, ‘70s and ‘80s, as well as any newer films the editorial team deem worthy of the B-movie title. The site has about 200,000 visitors monthly and is number one on Google for B-movie and cult film reviews.

Meet Becks!

Becks Davis is a Detroit-area native who moved away at age 17 and didn’t come back until she was 30. When Davis returned, she decided to blog about her journey rediscovering the Motor City she once called home. Through her blog, Detroit Moxie, Davis has shared the beauty of Metro Detroit with others around the globe.

Come hear how these good people created a following in the blog-o-sphere, and how it’s highlighting the communities they live in.
