Capital Gains Speaker Series: Reimagining Michigan Cities

We are excited to be partnering with the Capital Area District Library for this month's speaker series!

John Gallagher, author of Reimagining Detroit: Opportunities for Redefining an American City will be joining us to present a night of re-imagining cities on May 26 at 7:00 pm, at Art Alley, 1133 S. Washington Ave., in  REO Town.

Gallagher, who has covered urban redevelopment for the Detroit Free Press for two decades, spent a year researching the issues facing Detroit. Rather than simply listing the problems, Reimagining Detroit showcases the innovative community-building work that’s currently happening in the Motor City.

It also suggests what can be done to rebuild a leaner, greener, and more economically self-sufficient city. For Lansing area residents, the important question is: “What can we learn from this project, and how can it be applied to Michigan’s Capital City?”

If you’re interested, please fill out the form below so we know to expect you, or RSVP via the Facebook event page.
