This is year’s sizzling summer is perfect for the inception of downtown Mason’s inaugural Sun Dried Music Festival. We’ve been drenched with sunshine, so why not indulge with a free outdoor music festival featuring a diverse showcase of local jazz, blues, salsa and country, while experiencing one of greater Lansing’s quaint communities?

The Sun Dried Music Festival will be held on August 28, and features Freddie Cunningham & The Root Doctor Band and Orquesta Ritmo among other familiar Mid-Michigan favorites.

16th Annual Caribbean Festival

Can’t get to an exotic island destination this summer? Don’t worry, be happy! Lansing Community College’s 16th annual Caribbean Festival will give you the opportunity to experience the sounds, tastes and feel of the Caribbean right here in Lansing.

The festival is also held on August 28 at the North Washington Square Mall's outdoor amphitheater located at the center of LCC’s Downtown Lansing campus. Admission and parking are free.
