Editor's Picks: Mosaic Festival and Downtown Zombie Walk

Lansing Mosaic Festival

This Saturday at Adado Riverfront Park, the Lansing Mosaic Festival will celebrate our city’s strong labor force and its culturally diverse ethnic population, bringing them together for one day to honor this rich heritage. There will be so much going on at this festival I don’t have enough room to cover its goodness! Whether you’re up for a running a 5K, partaking in demonstrations with your family or simply coming to enjoy the diverse offering of food and music, there will be something for everyone to enjoy.

Downtown Lansing Zombie Walk

Just a forewarning for anyone headed to Downtown Lansing this Saturday between 12 p.m. and 2:30 p.m., the Downtown Lansing Zombie Walk is taking place.

What you will witness is a gory display of Lansing residents dressed up as zombies, on a mission to feed the less fortunate in our city.

How? Everyone participating will bring non-perishable goods or cash donations to benefit the Greater Lansing Food Bank. So if you need an excuse to prep for Halloween and dress up like a zombie, head to Ferris Park — on the corner of Shiawasee and Pine — and join the mob for a greater good.
