Is there anything more exhausting than moving to a new city? If there’s any time in life when having a personal assistant to show you around, introduce you to the locals and help around the new house would be justified, a big move is it. For new residents to the Lansing area, the Ann Arbor-based
Betty Brigade is ready to do just that.
The Betty Brigade is a full-service concierge company from Ann Arbor that has specialized in helping clients relocate for nine years.
“We help people move, pack and unpack, sell the things they don’t want and work with donation and recycling services to make process go very efficiently,” says Betty Brigade owner Sharon McRill.
While The Betty Brigade has had a presence in Lansing for a year, McRill is now expanding her services to work with more large employers locally. The business contracts with employers such as Michigan State University to help orient new employees to the community.
“Often a prospective candidate might be exploring opportunities from multiple employers,” says McRill. “So we’re really going to be showing them why Lansing is the right place to chose. We kind of help woo the candidates and once they have chosen the company, we help them unpack, put groceries in the fridge get help get the kids settled in schools.”
The Betty Brigade currently employs three locally. The expansion of services is part of the company’s progression toward franchising nationally.
