Since the late 90’s this treasure trove for would-be glam rockers and the generally off-beat has been quietly tucked below the surface of East Lansing’s Grand River Avenue. Enter through a little stairwell nestled in between a bagel shop and a party store. Inside a wide variety of treasures can be found: cowboy shirts, Converse All-Stars, Arcane belt buckles, fake eyelashes, faux gator boots, and sweatbands. But it’s not all kitsch. They have everyday clothes too: jeans, cardigan sweaters and the like. In a fitting manner, the place is painted in solid colors. Chinese lanterns are scattered amongst the flourescent lighting, to aid in the illumination -- and festivity -- of the store. A perfect spot for retro fashion fans, nostalgia-philes, or anyone who wishes to return to different era.
