Over 170 rotating weekly flavors. Fresh cookies baked in-house daily. Attractive pink packaging.
These are the signature traits of Crumbl Cookies, a company that has been extremely successful over the last few years, even growing a strong social media presence and following.
Until now, most Great Lakes Bay-area residents who wanted a taste of Crumbl either had to drive to Novi or set up a delivery. But this fall, Crumbl’s delicious and unique cookies will become much more convenient, especially to those in the Mt. Pleasant area.
The Mt. Pleasant store will be located at 4445 East Bluegrass Road, Suite B.Michelle Jackson, Cristin Gougeon, and Todd Kornoely will be opening a new franchise at 4445 East Bluegrass Road, Suite B, in the same building as
Biggby Coffee and several other tenants.
The newest franchisees agreed to the business venture after Michelle visited Texas to pick up her daughter from her graduation from the National Guard and had her first Crumbl experience.
“They were on the way to the airport, and her daughter said, ‘Hey there is a Crumbl nearby, can we stop at it?’” Gougeon says. “Michelle had never heard of it, so they stopped there. She (Michelle) was really impressed with everything about it…she looked into it, and then basically Michelle made it happen, and all three of us decided to partner together.”
According to Gougeon, the location was partially determined by the Crumbl company policies. “The location just happened. Originally we looked into a different area, but Crumbl will only allow certain areas, and Mt. Pleasant was one of them near us. Finding a building was challenging as they have strict criteria.”
Now that the building is settled on, the waiting game is on as the trio wait for final approval at various levels and to complete the build-out inside. Currently, Gougeon hopes that the store will open in early November.
Until then, fans all around the area are practically drooling as they wait to see which cookies will be offered that first week. While milk chocolate chip remains a consistent flavor, each week 4-5 other flavors rotate, and these are announced on
social media to much fanfare.
“It’s worth the hype. They are the best cookies I have ever had. They are made fresh every day. There are 170 different kinds, and they switch out every week. So far my favorites are the mint chocolate cookies or the lemon cupcake.”
According to the
Crumbl Cookie website, “Started in 2017, Crumbl’s rapid growth has made it the fastest-growing and largest cookie company in the nation.” At last check, there were 539 locations nationwide, with Michigan locations in Ann Arbor, Grand Rapids, Holland, Kalamazoo, Livonia, Novi, Rochester Hills, Royal Oak, Sterling Heights, and Woodhaven.
Look out this fall for employment opportunities at the Mt. Pleasant location.
