What’s Happening: Pleasant City Coffee is hosting a Cocktail Tasting Event on Friday, Aug. 29 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m to debut a new line of cocktails being served at their downtown Mt. What They’re Saying: “As a family-owned small business, it’s important to us to support other independent businesses in Michigan,” says Rachael Agardy, Pleasant City Coffee co-owner. “We love being able to see the direct impact of our partnerships on real people’s lives! Finding a product that is high-quality, yet unique from a lot of the big conglomerate offerings, means we can elevate our customer experience. It’s a win-win-win all around!”

What’s Being Featured: Precision Syrups are premium, all-natural botanical infusions crafted from high-quality fruits and spices, without the use of extracts or preservatives. Precision Syrups are designed to enhance cocktails, mocktails, and culinary creations. The syrups aim to bring elevated flavor and a natural twist to any recipe, all while coming from a company committed to supporting local communities..
Crafted in St. Joseph and manufactured in Sawyer, Michigan, Precision Syrups is a woman-owned company “driven by a desire to foster shared experiences and connections through the art of flavor,” says the Precision Syrups mission. The company sources ingredients locally and has become a commercial supplier for many small businesses across Southwest Michigan and Northern Indiana.
What They Sell: Precision syrups offer five different flavors, ranging from sweet to savory: Hibiscus Mango Ginger Syrup, MI Blueberry Spice Syrup, Cranberry Santé Syrup, Strawberry Ginger Lime Syrup, and Raspberry Crescendo Syrup.
As guests will experience at the event, Precision Syrups are crafted for signature cocktails and mocktails; however, they make an elegant addition to desserts and add a unique flavor profile to marinades and salad dressings, too.

Behind Precision Syrups: Tiffany and Ben Wood launched Precision Syrups in 2022 after turning their passion “for crafting unique and flavorful syrups during the COVID-19 pandemic” into a business. “What began as a hobby quickly evolved into a thriving venture … While the pandemic may have been the impetus for its founding, Tiffany and Ben aspire for Precision Syrups to be a lasting force in bringing people together,” says the Precision Syrups website.
Tiffany Wood, owner and co-founder, brings a blend of experience in elementary education and sales to the Precision Syrups team. Her husband, Benjamin Wood, co-founder and head of production and research development, draws on his scientific background in medicine and engineering to lend peak research skills to the innovative company.
