The weather has started to cool down, school is back in session, autumn is around the corner, and there are scores of activities lined up for the weeks ahead. Do you like festivals?

Below, you’ll find an Irish Music Fest in Muskegon, a Hispanic Heritage Fest in Grand Haven, and an International Festival in Holland. There are walks, bike rides, and the Mt. Baldy Challenge.

There are fundraisers, movies, concerts, a gem and mineral show, a dance performance, art shows and exhibits, and even an Eco Immersion Explorers program for homeschool students.

Labor Day Bridge Walk

The Douglas Police Department will begin the event with a lead car at 8:15 a.m. The course is to walk the .3 miles from Beery Field to the bridge connecting Saugatuck and Douglas, make a U-turn, and return to Beery Field. The total walk is 0.8 miles. Participants will be awarded with a completion certificate, water, coffee, and doughnuts. Accepted donations will benefit the Saugatuck Recreation Department.

Lakeshore Harvest Ride
