Diversified Restaurant Holdings (DRH) has signed a 10-year lease with renewal options for its 20th Buffalo Wild Wings location and its first in Traverse City.
The new eatery will fill the long-vacated 6,200-square-foot space at 3480 South Airport Road and U.S.-31/37 that was the former BD's Mongolian BarBQ. It's next to the Grand Traverse Mall.
"Traverse City is a four-season tourist destination, often cited as one of America's best small town destinations for its beaches and water recreation, golf courses, wineries, winter activities, and shopping," says DRH President and CEO Michael Ansley.
Buffalo Wild Wings is a sit-down eatery priced between "fast casual and casual dining segments," according to the company. Specialties include chicken wings and other items including boneless wings, chicken tenders, popcorn shrimp, specialty hamburgers and sandwiches, wraps, Buffalito soft tacos, appetizers, and salads.
DRH currently operates 17 BWW restaurants (five in Florida and 12 in Michigan), and has won many franchise awards including highest annual restaurant sales. Ansley says the Traverse City restaurant will open in the first quarter of 2011.
